and the Surrounding Area
The fishing village of Port Isaac and the sheltered small fiord
of Port Quin are both 1 mile from Westaway. The coastal path
from Port Quin takes you to Rumps Point which is a haven for wild flowers, seals and puffins can often be seen. This section of the Coast Path which is
easily accessible commands some of the highest cliffs throughout Cornwall and
makes for exhilarating walking. Pentire Point overlooks
the surfing beach of Polzeath and a further half mile takes you to Daymer bay which is a perfect family beach. Here you will find St .Enodoc Church where Sir John Betjeman is buried. Carry on walking through the sand dunes to Rock
where a foot ferry runs continuously across the Camel Estuary to Padstow.

the east of Westaway lies Bodmin Moor which is known as the
granite roof of Cornwall. Exhilarating true moorland, a surviving wilderness.
